This is truly machine embroidery at its finest. I have combined my 13 years of digitizing experience and 20 years of heirloom sewing experience to create 5 of the most exquisitely embellished heirloom dresses ever. People do not believe that these garments could have been done on an embroidery machine. Isn't that what we all want to hear about our work? Most of the embroidery is done on silk organza which is surprisingly affordable and absolutely perfect for my light and airy designs. The gals collars all stitch in the hoop, completely embellished and ready to stitch, trim and use. There is a wonderful first communion dress of silk dupioni with organza trims and sleeves featuring the cup and wheat to symbolize communion, and a matching rosary bag to stitch in the hoop There is a frothy pink dupioni and organza overlay dress and a white Swiss batiste dress embellished with delicious pink shadow loops - a completely new technique. The other two stunners - one in ecru organza over ecru batiste and the other in white organza over lavender batiste - feature my new faux lacing shaping designs which look so much like real shaped french lace that you will have to look twice to believe it. When you look at the photos of these dresses in the slideshow, remember that there is no lace on these dresses - only embroidery that looks like lace! Each dress design set includes a small matching purse in the hoop. The package includes a very basic girl's paper dress pattern in sizes 2,4,6 and 8.

But that's not all! To bring out the little girl in all of us, the Gals and Dolls Collection also includes a mini replica of each of these spectacular dresses for 18" dolls that will stitch right in your embroidery hoop, pattern lines and all. Each sleeve, front yoke, tiny peter pan collar and sash is already embellished and perfectly placed inside the dolly pattern pieces. You just stitch each piece, cut out along the stitched pattern lines and sew it together! A dolly purse and slip in the hoop is included.

The collection includes an extensive 32 page spiral bound instruction book that gives detailed decriptions and illustrated instructions for stitching and constructing these showstopping gowns for either your little Gals or your little Dolls, or both. There is a BONUS set of religious designs included as well, for a total of 6 design sets for each Gal and Doll.

Christening 2 is an extensive collection of baby garments and accessories to stitch in your hoop. It contains everything you will need to embroider 18 complete baby garments, a slip, 10 matching bonnets, 12 pairs of shoes, 16 bibs, 10 preemie diaper shirts, and an assortment of collars. All of these items STITCH IN THE HOOP. A full size pattern sheet is included with the larger pattern pieces needed for pleated dresses and pleated bubbles, different sleeve styles, and the side seam and hem guidelines for the Slip in the Hoop, making these fun and fancy garments perfect for boys or girls. A series of baby-sized vintage-look figures, a baby drawstring tote bag, a christening bible cover and full instructions for a very unusual antique reproduction christening wrap complete the set so that you can make anything from everyday clothes to the finest christening garments.

Each pattern piece has been pre-embellished and is ready to stitch, complete with stitched pattern cutting lines. Each of the 18 Garment Sets can be made into a gathered dress, a pleated A-line dress, or a pleated bubble, with short puff sleeves, short boy sleeves, or long puff sleeves. The dresses can be made long for use as dedication or christening gowns, or short for everyday dresses. The bubbles can be very fancy as dedication garments or they can be casual. The possibilities for each Garment Set are endless when you consider all of your fabric choices � pure white or dainty prints with contrasting embroidered collars or sailor outfits or subtle tone on tone embroidery � each of the 18 Garment Sets can be embroidered in so many different ways! The pattern pieces provided should fit a 10-20 pound baby. If you need a larger size, delete the pattern lines from each file and stitch only the embellishment portion, then lay your own pattern over the embroidery and cut out in the traditional way. The Preemie Diaper shirts are for 4-7 pound infants.

A 6 x 9 hoop works best, but border designs, shoes and smaller components will fit in a 5 x 7. Bonnets can be made in the 5 x 7 by embroidering a border and cutting out with a printed pattern. Almost any of these garments can be stitched in a 5 x 7 hoop if the pattern lines are deleted. Your editing software can print the design files out on paper so that you can use them as patterns and cut things out the old fashioned way. You still have the luxury of having designs prearranged in the proper shapes for each pattern piece.

Larger hoop owners can now stitch decorated christening gown and baby dress pieces, including the pattern cutting lines, in the hoop! Choose one of the 6 complete gown themes included, or start with the blank pattern pieces and design your own. Use your copy, paste, mirror and rotate functions to turn these 231 delicate designs into an infinite number of your own creations. Many are included in both white on white and in colors, making them perfect for any delicate sewing project. Small religious symbols are included, The front and back yoke, collar and straight sleeve pattern pieced provided are for a baby weighing 11-13 pounds. If you need a slightly larger size, delete just the pattern piece from each file and stitch only the embellishment portion, then lay your own pattern over the embroidery and cut out in the traditional way. For those of you who lovingly donate your time to hospitals by making tiny gowns for premature infants, I have included several embellished one-piece bodices ready to stitch, with matching skirt designs. These could also be used for small dolls. 6 machine formats included. Photos of each gown are included on the CD and as a slideshow on this website.
